If you live in Arizona like me, chances are during the summer your appetite just isn’t the same.  We’ve been at 120 degrees daily for over a week now and some days it’s just too hot to eat much of anything.  One thing I love keeping on hand during the hotter months are protein bites.  I made a delicious recipe using the Bakery On Main Organic Happy Rolled Oats and the finished result was almost too delicious to believe.  If you guys want to try making these protein bites as well, make sure you check out the recipe I created.  These protein bites will last up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator, but let’s be honest…they’ll be lucky to last a week with as tasty as they are!

Bakery On Main Protein Bites Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Bakery On Main Organic Happy Rolled Oats
  • 4 tbsp. ground flax seed
  • 6 tbsp. reduced fat peanut butter
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein drink powder
  • 4 tbsp. shredded coconut
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. water

There’s really not much thinking to do here.  It’s as simple as mix the ingredients in one bowl, divide into 12 balls, and refrigerate.  These protein bites come in at 100 calories each, with 4.6 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber.
