Give Joy Again and Again with Ravensburger Games #Review

Ravensburger is a company that was founded in 1883 and has changed and grown into the company that we love today.  From puzzles to games and even crafts, Ravensburger has a little bit of something for everyone.

Buggaloop is an amazingly fun game that I received from Ravensburger to try out with my kids.  The suggested age is 6+, but I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a 30-something year old who had an absolute blast playing.  There’s a HEXBUG in the yard and it’s coming after you!  Players will take turns rolling the die and moving their bugs peacefully across the yard, until the HEXBUG emerges from the tunnel and tries to bump them off.  Stay standing and continue down your path – get bumped and you’ll have to start from the beginning again! The first player to transport all of their bugs to safety wins this surprising buggy scramble.

The climbing action of the HEXBUG is super fun to watch, but once he comes up from those tubes a sense of panic sets in as you scramble to roll the die and move your bugs to safety.  After the HEXBUG has done his damage and he retreats back underneath the board there’s a sense of calm…until you see that cute little bug emerge again.  This game has been so much fun for the whole family from my 5 year old daughter to my almost 40 year old husband!

This holiday season give a gift that will bring joy again and again with Ravensburger.

Give the Gift Of Fun And Entertainment With Wonder Forge #Review

Since it’s launch in 2007, Wonder Forge has consistently offered top-quality experiences, raising the bar for preschool and family games everywhere.  The preschool titles celebrate the “can do” attitude in all kids—engaging them physically, socially, and creatively.  The family games bridge generation gaps and create wholesome family moments and lasting memories.  I received a wonderful selection of Wonder Forge games to try out with my family and we were all truly impressed game after game.

For the older members of the family, Suspicion is a really great game to play.  Suspicion is a game of secret identity and deduction.  You are invited to a masquerade at the estate of an art collector…little does he know, you’re a world-class jewel thief…and you’re not alone!  Keep your identity secret as you work your way through the mansion pocketing priceless gemstones.  Observe other guests and use your deduction skills to unmask the other crooks before they catch you.

Another great family game is the Really Bad Art game.  The Really Bad Art game is a game of lofty ideas and horrible craftsmanship.  It’s a lightning-fast drawing game where you need to draw just well enough to win.  Each player takes one of the 500 phrases and has only 6 seconds to draw their best interpretation of the phrase.  Mix them all up and try to guess which scribble matches which phrase.  Guess correctly to score…that is, if you can get past all of the fun and laughter long enough.

For the younger members of the family, the Star Wars Eye Found It game is a challenging but fun game that kids of all ages will enjoy.  This fun picture-finding game will keep your kids entertained for HOURS!  The player with the most points when R2-D2 is found in the reward tile pile wins!

Where’s Olaf? was absolutely my daughter’s favorite game out of the Wonder Forge goodies we received.  One player hides Olaf while the other(s) pull clue cards to find out where he is.  When you pull a ‘seek’ card you get to go look for Olaf!  If you find him before the timer runs out, you win the game!

The Finding Dory Bubble Science Kit is a great way for kids to explore different science principles.  Using fun and simple bubble experiments, kids can learn about surface tension, air pressure, expiriment with elasticity, and even build bubble sculptures. With seven exciting activities and fun characters from Disney Pixar Finding Dory, little fish of any age will get swept up in science!

Last but not least, we also received Dr. Suess Thing Two and Thing One Whirly Fun Game.  Kids will have a blast playing the Dr. Seuss Thing Two and Thing One Whirly Fun! Game.  The Cat in the Hat has brought Thing One and Thing Two to play, but they run about with bumps, thumps and kicks.  Your children will have to work together to clean up the mess before Mother comes home.  Cooperative fun for everyone, this game helps to encourage teamwork, physical dexterity and color and shape recognition.

This holiday season give the gift of fun with Wonder Forge games.

BRIO…Sparking Imagination Since 1884 #Review

th.jpg

BRIO believes that good play makes the world a better place and I couldn’t agree more.  BRIO has been sparking imaginations generation after generation since 1884.  With a clean and simple design language, BRIO products encourage and open up a whole universe of fun, where the only limitation is the child’s own imagination.  This is a play-philosophy they base all of their products on, and it’s one that they’ve stayed true to since the birth of their company.

My daughter instantly fell in love with the BRIO World Family House Playset.  The BRIO World Family House set is a modular play house.  Build it according to suggestions in the included brochure or customize it and make it your own way.  The modules in plastic and wood offer lots of options so your child can really bring their own creation to life.  The Family House set comes with interior details and characters creating a unique social play focus around real life situations that your child can engage in.  The suggested age for this set is 3-7 years old, however my 11 year old son enjoys playing with my 5 year old daughter.  It’s so wonderful hearing them playing happily together and reenacting real life scenarios so they can grow and learn together.

20161122_161229.jpg

The BRIO World Fire Station is another fun playset from BRIO.  Your child will have fun engaging in role playing with this elaborate fire station.  The fire truck has light and sound that really function making the play seem all the more real.  Every village, no matter how big or small needs a fire station full of brave firefighters.  Your children can imagine they are the big brave firefighters and put out the village fires.  The water tanker trailer is a really nice addition that kids just love driving all around their play area.

This holiday season give your little one the gift of stimulation and imaginative play with BRIO.
