There is no better way to discover the world around you than heading outdoors and observing the way the world works.  Learning Resources has created a brilliant Outdoor Discovery Kit that will get any child excited about going out and exploring the outdoors.  My daughter likes to go looking for lizards and bugs with her older brothers, so when I got the opportunity to review the Outdoor Learning Kit I couldn’t help but say yes.

This Outdoor Discovery Kit comes with everything your little one needs to safely explore the outdoors without harming themselves, or the little creatures they’re trying to capture and observe.  Included in your Outdoor Discovery Kit you will find a sprouting jar with 2 lids, watering can, 3 plant pots, 3 plant markers, Big View Bug Jar, Handy Scooper, and Activity Guide. One convenient little kit will help your child learn so much about the world around them!

We live in Arizona so it is hot, hot, HOT right now.  There wasn’t much out and about to catch and observe, but my daughter and I had fun finding the rollie pollies that were hiding under rocks.  I love the addition of the Handy Scooper in this kit…it keeps bugs safe from harm, and keeps my daughter from being spooked from all the moving, tickling legs.  The double-sided Activity Cards include easy-to-follow experiments to capture, create, and observe the world outside.  As soon as the weather cools down a little bit, we’re going to plant a few things in the planting jars and see what grows best in our environment and transplant them into a garden we’re building.

Encourage your little one to enjoy the world with the Outdoor Discovery Kit.  Every little kid deserves one of these under the Christmas tree this year 🙂 .
