Week 27 is here already?  Seriously, where has the time gone?  It seems just yesterday this journey began.  This week’s loss is 1.8 lbs for a total of loss of 39.8 lbs since January 11th when I began Nutrisystem hopeful that it would change my life forever…and boy has it ever!

When I began this Nutrisystem journey, I used a fabric tape measure took measurements in multiple areas of my body.  I had been told by a couple friends that this was a great way to gauge progress as well.  I haven’t checked in on my measurements often, usually after noticing I need to buy a few items of clothing in a smaller size.  I live in a rural area with the closest town a very small one.  Usually you’ll see people you know everywhere you go in town because everyone knows everyone.  This weekend after running into 3 different friends in 3 different places I was greeted each time with, “Oh my gosh!  Look how tiny you are!  You look great!”.  It was nice to hear that my progress is noticeable, but also made me curious to come home and see how my measurements have changed since the last time I checked.

I took my measurements on day one very unhappy and so ready for them to change.  I had no idea that in 6 short months they would change so drastically.  From day one to now, I have lost 8 cm around my bicep (3 1/3″), 20 cm over the top of my bust (7 7/8″), 35 cm underneath my bust (13 7/8″), 29 cm from my waist (11 1/2″), 21 cm around my butt/lower abdomen (8 3/8″), and 13 cm around my thigh (5 1/8″).  Seeing those numbers made me realize why my friends who hadn’t seen me since before starting Nutrisystem were pretty shocked.  I love that I get to eat amazing food, learn to be the healthiest me possible, AND lose weight.  What more could you ask for?
