Week 16 on Nutrisystem is here, and I officially hit my first bump in the road so to speak. Sometimes in the process of losing weight, you will hit a plateau or experience your weight loss slow down to what can feel like almost nothing at all. Until the past week and this week, I had been pretty lucky and never saw a weekly loss under one lb. This week I did manage to lose .6 lbs, but obviously not what I would’ve liked to have seen when I jumped on the scale. My total loss so far is 22.8 lbs which is nothing to sneeze at for 15 weeks, so I am still incredibly happy with the progress that I have made.
Nutrisystem has a variety of different weight loss tools, one of them being weight loss counselors. I had a chat with a counselor this week about the slow down in my loss. Starting today, I am making two changes that I will keep consistent for one week and see how it goes. The counselor had 2 suggestions: 1) switching my lunches and dinners so the higher calorie meal is in the middle of the day, and 2) adding in a smart carb and powerfuel because of the level of my activity. I have to admit, I’m a little nervous adding in extra because it puts me at the higher end of my calorie range plan every day BUT the counselors are very wise and I’m willing to trust their suggestion. Hopefully next week I will be able to share a larger loss than this week with you all thanks to the counselor guidance.
One thing I’m finding myself consistently thankful for (besides all of the wonderful help and guidance) is just how delicious the food is. I never feel deprived, I love the way the meals taste, and there are tons of chocolatey options to keep a chocoholic like myself on track. I post pictures almost every day on Instagram, make sure you’re following me so you can see more of the wonderful meals I get to eat 🙂 . Follow me on Instagram @stephanyssweetlife .
