Week 15 on Nutrisystem is officially here and somehow each week I keep feeling better and better. The food still tastes as good as ever, and I love trying out new meals here and there to mix things up and widen my horizons. This week I didn’t see much movement in the scale, but that’s okay! Some weeks there are fluctuations and I think I found the culprit of why I had a slow week. I recently started chewing gum to help with sweet cravings, and just figured out there’s TONS of aspartame in the gum. Some of you may know, but some of you won’t…aspartame is linked to weight gain not related to caloric intake. So, lesson learned and I will just give up the gum and move forward.
Remember how I talked about non-scale victories last week? This is another week where that comes in to play. Although the scale only moved down 0.2 lbs, my body measurements went down this week so I can see that there is some change, even when the scale doesn’t reflect it. I had to go clothes shopping this week again because all of the stuff I bought a couple months ago was too big. Before starting Nutrisystem I couldn’t even squeeze myself into an xl. Last time I went clothes shopping I bought a comfortable xl and this time a size large. No ‘extra’ in there any more. That’s an incredible feeling, and all I need to keep pushing forward. One day, one ounce at a time. That’s how we reach our goals people!
