You all know that I’m starting Nutrisystem in 7 days, woohoo!  I received my first shipment today (one frozen, one shelf stable) and I wanted to share with all of you the awesomeness inside these packages.

Inside the cooler are some pretty tasty looking things!  (Carefully remove the dry ice included before digging into the contents.)

This is the entire frozen shipment which contains 10 breakfasts, 10 lunches, 10 dinners, and 10 snacks (aka desserts).  For breakfast I received 2 days of buttermilk waffles, 2 days of thick sliced french toast, 5 days of turkey ham and cheese omelets, and once cinnamon roll.  For lunch there is a chicken mozzarella melt, 3 chicken fajita melts, a meatball parmesan melt, 2 southwest fajita melts, a broccoli and cheese melt, and 2 steak and cheese melts.  For dinner we have 2 mushroom stuffed chicken breasts, a broccoli and cheese stuffed chicken breast, roast turkey medallions, salisbury steak with mac and cheese, ravioli formaggio, stuffed shells, Italian sausage and turkey pizza, and 2 margherita pizzas.  The snacks all look delicious!  The snacks are 2 ice cream sandwiches, 3 fudge bars, a chocolate brownie sundae, 2 orange creme bars, and 2 red velvet whoopie pies.

I’m doing the Turbo 10 program which is one week to help turbo boost your weight loss.

The picture above is what is included in the Turbo 10 box.  There are 7 days of breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as turbo shakes and nutricrush (hunger crushing) shakes.  You’ll eat a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as enjoying two rich chocolatey shakes each day on the first week with the Turbo 10.

The shelf stable shipment has so many delicious looking things as well, I’m interested to see how well they taste.

The shelf stable box contained so much food!  There are 15 dinners which include: 4 cheese and spinach ravioli with meat sauce, a stanta fe style white chicken with brown rice, hickory smoke flavored beef patty, chicken pasta parmesan, thick crust pizza, italian herb flatbread pizza, chicken alfredo, chili with beans, meatloaf with potatoes, lasagna with meat sauce, rotini with meatballs and tomato sauce, and vegatable lasagna.

Lunch has tasty looking items too (of course!).  There are 15 lunches which include: cheesy homestyle potatoe, three cheese pasta with chicken, 3 cheese tortellini’s, chicken noodle soup, beans and ham soup, 2 fudge graham bars, 2 chocolate PB bars, 2 double chocolate caramel bars, a trail mix bar, and black beans and rice.

Breakfast looks like it will be my favorite meal of the day 🙂 . The breakfast’s I received are: one granola cereal, 2 nutriflakes cereals, an apple strudel bar, 2 peanut butter granola bars, a cinnamon bun bar, harvest nut bar, chewy chocolate chip granola bar, 2 maple sugar oatmeals, 2 apple cinnamon oatmeals, a blueberry muffin, double chocolate muffin, banana nut muffin, and cinnamon bun.

The snacks will be used as my desserts…they will help me satisfy my sweet tooth and stay on track.  The snacks are: chocolate chip cookies, cheese puffs, honey mustard pretzel bits, chocolate caramel bar, walnut chocolate chip cookies, coconut almond bar, chocolately nougat bar, 2 peppermint cookie patties, popcorn, golden pound cake, 2 chocolate cakes, 2 fudge brownies, and pretzels.

You will also receive shakes that help you stay on track with ease.  You can easily use these in place of some of your snacks and get that little extra bit of “sweet” if you’re craving it.

Nutrisystem sent me everything I need to succeed and I’m so excited to be sharing this journey with all of you!  I will be posting about the meals on instagram so make sure to follow me there if you’re interested!

Help Your Child Gain Confidence With Dry Buddy

Many of you know by now the struggles that my middle child faces with nighttime bed wetting.  I didn’t realize it was more common than I thought until I opened up about the struggles my son faces and learned that many of you have children who struggle with the same issue.  After seeing a few doctors (family practice, general practice, and pediatrician) as well as a couple trips to the urologist, we discovered that there was no physical problems causing this issue, just a matter of brain and bladder not communicating effectively at night.  My son has been pretty disappointed with his wetting issues because it prevents him from enjoying the simple things a ten year old child should be able to enjoy like sleepovers with his friends.  When I came across Dry Buddy I was hopeful that there may be help available for my poor little guy.

The Dry Buddy Flex system comes with everything you’ll need to help your child re-train their body to wake up before the wetting begins.  If your child is a deep sleeper like mine, it may be helpful to buy an extra transceiver so you have one in your room…believe me, the first few nights this will come in VERY handy.

In your box you will find the transceiver and power cord, remote control for transceiver, and the sensor for the Dry Buddy briefs.

The Dry Buddy briefs are super easy to use.  There are snaps at the top where the sensor snaps right in, but you can put the sensor on the front of the briefs as well.  The magnets are super powerful and will hold the sensor in place no matter where you put it.

The general idea is that you will be able to transition away from the Dry Buddy in about 4 weeks time.  I figured if 4 weeks was all it took, count me in!  I was not prepared for how effectively and quickly the system works.

The first couple nights using the Dry Buddy Flex my son’s transceiver went off a few times.  The next couple nights the alarm only went off twice, and the next few nights after that only once.  After only one weeks time, we had a WHOLE NIGHT where the alarm didn’t sound at all!  First thing I did in the morning was check the transceivers and sensor to make sure all were working and they sure as heck were!  We are now FIVE nights dry!!  I was hopeful that the system would work but had my reservations at the same time.  Being that this is an issue we struggled with for years, I wasn’t so sure it would be as easy at the Dry Buddy system retraining the signal to go from brain to bladder effectively.  All of my expectations have been surpassed, and I can’t stop singing songs of praise about Dry Buddy to all of my friends and family who have children who suffer from nighttime wetting as well.
