Changing the Face of Beauty

If you’ve ever shopped for your daughter or any other little girl, I’m sure you’ve noticed just how adorable the little girls are that are modeling the clothing. Nothing out of the ordinary right? Look closely, and really think about what’s missing. If you were to compare them to say a classroom of girls the same age, you might notice the difference then. In these catalogs that we’re browsing with our little princesses, where are the children with disabilities? Where are the children who have to use crutches or wheelchairs? Where is the beaming smile from the little girl with down-syndrome or autism? What about the girl who’s become bald as a result of her battle with cancer?

It’s time to Change the Face of Beauty! On July 13th The Mighty Acorn Foundation is having an amazing photo shoot to create a catalog that’s going to break down social barriers and stereotypes. We’re finally going to see an amazing catalog we can be proud to share with our young generation showing little girls that come from all walks of life. After the photo shoot all of the clothing and accessories will be auctioned off to raise money for the Mighty Acorn Foundation so that they can continue to do amazing things. I can’t wait to follow up with you guys and show you the results which I have a feeling are going to be fabulous. I can’t wait to see it myself!
